Follow the route to Pont l'Evêque. Turn left when you come to the end of the D118. You are now on the main
road that leads to the center of town. Turn right on the first street.
This is the D48. (If you decide to take the
D677 to Pont l'Eveque then you'll have to ride through the entire city--one long
main street--to get the D48--which will be on the left--because you'll be
arriving at the opposite end of the city.)

Take the D48 all the way to Liseux! The views are
superb!
|
|
There is only one chocolate shop in Liseux--Les Saveurs.
They have some good Belgian and French chocolate.

|
I've tried the D578 back but it's just not as nice as the
D48. You get back on the D48 by going up away from center town and
not from the round about.

At Pont l'Evêque
I then took the N177 (recently renamed the D677) to return to Deauville (much faster--direct route).
|
|
Just as you near Deauville remember to take the D27a at the
round-a-abouts towards Deauville and not Trouville which will keep you on the
N177 (D677) and take you through an unattractive industrial zone. But if
you need to stop by Super U, Leclerc or Picard Surgeles, then stay on by all
means!
